thousands of humans. Several million lives were lost during this encounter, her parents' included in that number. The
incident was lost to history.
2331, May: 18: Mackenzie graduates from High School and departs for the beginning of
her induction into the Alliance Military Academy on Earth's Moon.
2335, June: 22: Mackenzie graduates from the military academy and receives her first 6-month shipboard assignment; on the Saratoga.
2339: Mackenzie is transferred to the Athena for the Belgrave
campaign.
2340: 27-28: The Athena suffered heavy structural damage during the second wave of
battle. During the attempt to save two soldiers from being sucked into the
vacuum of space, Mackenzie risked her life to save them as a bulkhead red hot
from the laser pulse cannon that ripped through the ship fell on her pinning
her to the deck. She and one the other she tried to save survived. She spent
six months in rehabilitation while the medical teams reconstructed her back

Mackenzie was born on the Earth colony Tarsus; a lush planet that reminded most people of the once tropical rain forests of the equator. Her childhood was spent among the two-hundred-foot-tall tree-cities. It was a wonder to behold until the Gre'ekan came with their ships when she was in her teens. The bombarded the planet from space, first the disrupted interstellar and local communication. Then they brought pod like ships within the atmosphere that began to drop ecological as well as concussion bombs on the ground below destroying most everything within a 100 mile radius. Mackenzie witnessed the awesome destructive power just has her family was loaded on to the fine escape vessel to leave the surface of the planet when she was fourteen years old. From that day she vowed to never let those bastards take away someone else's home.
When Mackenzie graduated from high school she was accept to the Earth Alliance Military Academy on Earth's Moon. There she studied the Gre'ekan and Xenobiology. With the memory of her destroyed home still fresh in her mind, she used it as the single laser / precision-drive to excel in all of her training. -though she did falter on some physical aspects due to a crushed right ankle during a highly intense training exercise in which the gravity generator for the training room malfunctioned and she landed on her foot with 16 times the force of normal gravity at a rather awkward angle.
At the age of 24 she graduated with honors from the Academy with her masters in Xenobiology and was picked up by the Infantry branch upon commission. She then served as an intelligence officer junior grade on the Saratoga and the Athena which saw heavy combat during the Belgrave campaign. There she sustained a serious case of burns when a white-hot reinforced bulkhead fell on her during the evacuation of the bridge upon venting of atmo. caused by the Gre’ekan attack.
