Windchime Playgrounds
Note:
These playgrounds are spread out across many of the neighborhoods of Inisfree, with the majority of them being throughout the Apartments Area. Each of them is based around a metallic ring supported by a few pillars, with human-sized wind-chimes suspended from the ring. As people tap or push past these large wind-chimes, they begin to make their signature music. The wind can produce this same effect, and even when there are only light breezes in the area of one of these wind-chime playgrounds, those breezes still have the same effect as a person blowing air over the mouth of a bottle.
Dimensions & Layout:
Inisfreean wind-chime playgrounds are about 60 feet in diameter, each with one ring structure at their center. These rings are about 10 feet off the ground, with the wind-chimes ranging in diameter and vertical length. Each ring has 12 wind-chimes for a complete octave, and each wind-chime is a different color of the rainbow. The colors are always in this order: red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue, violet, purple, pink.
Special Features:
Small gong-like mallets hidden inside the tops of these playground wind-chimes are used to automate these attractions' musical functions; activated remotely, either by the Grid Mind when a thought-command is detected, or by a timer (for playing the time of day; once every hour, on the hour), these mallets strike the inside surfaces of their wind-chimes in sequences to play that peaceful wind-chime music at least 24 times each day. This music can usually only be heard one city block away.
Note
The map of Inisfree shows 10 wind-chimes playgrounds, all of which are located in the Apartments Area, but this type of playground has been added to almost every other region of the city now.
