2510 through 2516: The New Horizon conducts its first 14 patrols (a.k.a. 'floats' or 'underways'), all of which are interstellar; its floats order follows:
2517 June through August: The NH completes its RCOH, pre-deployment ramp-up (including short-floats and flight deck certifications), and calls its final muster before pulling up anchor and resuming its underway schedule, once again from its 34 Tauri Core-worlds base of operations. During this period of time, the NH takes on the new crew-members Alexis, Mackenzie Collins, Mica Demidova, Bailey Azedes Junipher, Zhanna Mariya, Glen Masters, Vince Nassida, and Dan Sawatari.
2517 September 5: The NH stumbled upon a fire-fight between Glith and Gre'akan. By the time the NH arrived, the Glith were abandoning their ship, and had weakened the Gre'akan ship group. The NH fleet finished off the Gre'akan and went planet-side to see what had ejected from the Glith ship. First contact was made with both species. An NH dropship picked up some of the wounded Glith and returned to the New Horizon to treat them in the quarantine wing.
2517 November 8: The NH responded to a biological event on Miranda. ODST were deployed and recovered 1 civilian doctor and 1 infected human. The NH fleet assumed low orbit to investigate the event and restabilize the colony where possible. The NH medical department assumed and continued the effort to remedy and cure the event. Once a formal response fleet relieved the NH fleet in-place, the NH fleet resumed its patrol route through the 34 Tauri Multi-System.
2517 October 13: The NH extended its patrol route for a 'dog and pony show' public relations anchoring at the backwater planet Athena IV. Chief ship's consultant Auzdein von Himmler met and hired Cyd Bishop, local pilot to that solar system, as a contractor for his custom Firefly-class transport ship. After putting the new contractor pilot through months of exhaustive training, a graduation ceremony and picnic are prepared and conducted to honor her efforts.
